Motorcycle trip planner for multi-day rides
Roadlegs cuts a long ride into days that fit a rider, prefers roads with more curves when you ask for it, and helps you find fuel, food and a place to sleep at the end of each day.
Roads that are fun to ride
Choose Fastest, Balanced or Twisty. Twisty steers the router away from motorways and toward smaller roads, and you can also switch motorways and toll roads off completely.
Every day gets a road character from the shape of the route itself: Straight, Gentle curves, Winding or Very twisty. The thresholds are a first estimate that is still being tuned on roads riders know.
Days that fit a rider
The default riding day is 200 km or 5 hours, whichever comes first, with a break every 2 hours. All three numbers are yours to change. You can also ask for an exact number of days and Roadlegs spreads the distance to fit.
Pin a stop as a night to make it end a day. The rest of the route is split around it. Each day shows departure, arrival, time at every stop and the weather forecast for the place you sleep.
Fuel, food and a bed
Set how far a tank takes you. Fuel stops are suggested at 80% of that range, and each day shows an estimate of litres and cost from your consumption and fuel price.
Search along the route or around any point for fuel, campsites, hotels and guest houses, hostels, mountain huts, restaurants and cafes, bakeries, shops, viewpoints and mountain passes. The data comes from OpenStreetMap, so filters such as showers or diesel only match places where someone recorded that detail.
Take it with you
Share a trip with a link so friends can plan with you, or send a view-only link. Export GPX or KML for your navigation, open each day in Google Maps or Waze, or print the day by day sheet. Install Roadlegs as an app and your saved trips still open without a connection.
Questions
How many kilometres a day should I plan on a motorcycle?
Roadlegs starts at 200 km or 5 hours of riding per day. Twisty mountain roads take far longer per kilometre than motorways, which is why the limit works on both distance and time. Adjust both to your own pace.
Can I avoid motorways and toll roads?
Yes. Both are switches in the settings, and the Twisty preference also steers away from motorways.
Does it plan fuel stops?
It suggests fuel stops by your tank range and lets you search for stations along the route. It does not know live fuel prices or whether a station is open right now.
Is it free?
Yes. Trips are saved in your browser, and you can back them up to a file.
